Steven H. Elizer, a founding member of Elizer & Meyerson, L.L.C. has more than twenty years experience in commercial and corporate law, construction law, suretyship and representation of closely held corporations, general contractors, subcontractors, public entities and individuals involved in construction disputes.
Early in his career, Mr. Elizer was a member of Rudnick & Wolfe's real estate and franchise litigation team. While living in South Florida, he was an associate at Smith & Levenstein, P.A., a commercial litigation firm.
Mr. Elizer was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1957. He earned his Bachelor's and Juris Doctorate degrees from Washington University in St. Louis where he served as Senior Editor of the Washington University Law Quarterly in 1982-83. Mr. Elizer graduated in the top five percent of his class and was also a member of the Order of the Coif. He is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Florida and is admitted to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
Mr. Elizer is a member of the American Bar Association and the Chicago Surety Claims Association.
