David Meyerson is a founding member of Elizer & Meyerson, L.L.C.
David was employed as an Assistant State's Attorney by the Cook County State's Attorney's Office for over ten (10) years prosecuting felony and misdemeanor criminal offenses, driving under the influence of alcohol offenses (DUI), as well as suspended and revoked driver's license and other traffic-related offenses throughout most of the courthouses in Cook County, Illinois. Since leaving the State's Attorney's Office in the year 2000, David has concentrated his practice in the areas of DUI defense, suspended or revoked driver's license defense, as well as felony and misdemeanor criminal defense. David provides aggressive representation to his criminal and traffic clients including engaging in pretrial motion practice such as successfully challenging driving suspensions, moving to quash arrests, moving to suppress evidence illegally gathered by police, and moving to suppress unconstitutional statements provided to police. David routinely conducts hearings and trials before judges and juries.
David's clients are often impressed with his timeliness, his honesty, his devotion to detail, and the fact that he returns telephone calls and keeps his clients advised as to the status of their respective cases.
David also practices personal injury law (he has obtained numerous six-figure settlements for clients), contract law and other areas of general civil practice.
David was born and raised in the Chicagoland area. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois in 1986. David received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 1989 where he studied oil and gas law. David is also admitted to practice in federal court in the Northern District of Illinois as well as before the federal court of appeals in Chicago.
